I am a Salt Lake based artist and have had the opportunity to be taught and mentored by many local artists over the last twenty years. I’ve also worked as a studio assistant with my professional artist uncle Eric Dowdle and most recently contracted with the art department at Dowdle Folk Art. I also teach art lessons part time in my home studio to over a dozen students. I am an award-winning watercolorist with the Utah Watercolor society and worked for about fifteen years with watercolor. I have since moved to working in oil paint and striving to work from life as much as possible. I love to paint vibrant florals and oils have allowed me to achieve this better than other mediums I’ve previously worked in. I also love figure and portrait work and am excited to continue exploring it. As a mother of four I have been blessed to be able to paint works of art of my children.
